Hilltop Golf Course in Birmingham, England, is currently undergoing a significant redevelopment project in partnership with Birmingham City Council. This investment, totalling £1.2 million, aims to transform the facility beyond a traditional 18-hole course into a community wellbeing hub. The plans include a refurbished clubhouse, a new 9-hole par 3 course ideal for beginners, and a 22-bay floodlit driving range with modern teaching technology. The existing 18-hole course is also being reprofiled to improve playability and drainage. Designed by Bruce Weller, the redevelopment focuses on environmental sustainability, incorporating practices like reusing construction material, creating natural rainwater reservoirs, and implementing a substantial replanting scheme. While currently closed for construction, the course is expected to offer a range of services to engage a wider community upon reopening.
