Heswall Golf Club, founded in 1902 on the Wirral Peninsula, is a parkland course that has evolved significantly since its inception as a 5115-yard layout. The original design was by Jack Morris (J. Morris), nephew of Old Tom Morris, with later input from notable architects including Harry Vardon, Frank Pennink, and Donald Steel. The course has been lengthened over the years through land acquisitions, reaching its current 18-hole, 6837-yard, par 72 configuration following work completed in 2007 by Donald Steel & Partners. The terrain features some historic 'ridge-and-furrow' topography, integrated into the course design. While not consistently an Open Qualifying venue, Heswall Golf Club did host the Junior Open Championship in 2006. The course offers scenic views across the Dee Estuary towards the Welsh hills.
