About Hagley Golf Country Club (Main Course)
Nestled in the heart of Worcestershire, Hagley Golf Country Club offers a parkland golf experience with a history that, in its current form, dates back to the construction started in the late 1970s. However, golf has a longer association with the Hagley area, with an earlier club existing in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The present-day 18-hole, par 72 course is set within 170 acres, providing picturesque views towards the Clent Hills. Known for its fast and true greens, the course presents a test for golfers of varying abilities. The layout incorporates mature trees, copses, and is notable for some particularly challenging small greens on the front nine, demanding precision on approach shots. Deep ravines add a further strategic element to several holes, ready to penalize errant strikes. While a welcoming club with good facilities, Hagley Golf Country Club is not noted as a past venue for Open Championship Qualifying.
