Hadley Wood Golf Club

Hadley Wood Golf Club, located in the London Borough of Enfield, is an Alister Alister MacKenzie-designed parkland course that opened for play in 1922. The club is set on land that was once part of the royal hunting ground of Enfield Chase during the reign of Henry V. MacKenzie, also known for designing Augusta National, incorporated several features at Hadley Wood that are also found at the home of the Masters, including raised plateau greens, some of which are multi-tiered, imaginative fairway sloping, and strategic bunkering. The course is laid out in two distinct loops and offers a variety of engaging and challenging holes that require a range of shots. With a par of 72 and measuring around 6,500 yards from the back tees, the course has been a venue for Open Championship Regional Qualifying between 2000 and 2005. The historic Georgian clubhouse, originally known as Russell Mansion and built in 1781, provides a stately backdrop to the course.
