East Berkshire Golf Club ( Course)
Parkland Course in Crowthorne, England
Established in 1903, East Berkshire Golf Club is a private members club located in Crowthorne, Berkshire. The course was originally designed by Peter Paxton, a renowned club maker from Musselburgh. Initially a heathland course, it has matured into a tree-lined parkland layout. The design makes clever use of natural water courses and features heather as a hazard. The course is not exceptionally long by modern standards, playing just over 6,200 yards from the white tees, but the strategic layout with doglegs and natural challenges ensures it plays longer than the yardage suggests. The greens are known for being fast and undulating. The club has a history of hosting county and regional events and is also home to the annual East Berks Stag amateur competition.
