Nestled in the picturesque Berkshire countryside, Donnington Valley Golf Club offers a parkland test that, while perhaps not a household name among the UK's elite, provides an engaging round with a memorable finish. Established in 1978, the course was significantly redesigned and lengthened between 1998 and 2000 by Tom Foulkes or Howard Howard Swan, depending on the source, maturing into a layout known for its rolling fairways and strategically placed hazards. The initial nine holes offer opportunities for scoring, but the real challenge lies in the closing four, where water dramatically influences play, particularly on the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes. The course measures just over 6,300 yards from the back tees with a par of 71. While it hasn't hosted The Open Qualifying, Donnington Valley has a history of hosting regional tournaments, including the Shropshire Open.
