Channels Golf Club, located near Chelmsford in England, was established in 1974, initially featuring a nine-hole course. An additional nine holes were added in 1989, resulting in the current 18-hole layout. The course is described as parkland with undulating terrain and incorporates numerous lakes and water hazards, with the River Chelmer also influencing several holes. Historically, the club also had a 9-hole Belsteads course and a par-3 Poppi's course, making it a 27-hole facility at one point. In 2009, a portion of the land was used for housing, leading to a redesign of the 18-hole course, incorporating some holes from the former Belsteads course. The course has seen various reported lengths and pars over the years, with a notable change around 2009 reducing the length and par. The club was a family-run business that diversified over time to include a hotel, restaurant, and wedding venue, becoming known as Channels Estate.
