Abe Mitchell

Abe Mitchell was primarily a highly regarded professional golfer in the early 20th century, but he also made contributions to golf course architecture. He collaborated with renowned architects like H.S. Colt and C.H. Alison on several significant projects, including design work at courses such as Wentworth (East and West courses) and Sunningdale (New Course). His vast experience as a player undoubtedly informed his input on course design, making him a valuable partner in shaping some classic layouts, although he is less known as a solo architect.
