Parkland Course in Hensol, Wales
The Vale Resort in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, is a 4-star resort featuring two championship golf courses, including the Wales National course. The Wales National, designed by Peter Johnson and opened in 2003, is an 18-hole parkland course with a par of 73 and measures 7,433 yards from the championship tees, making it one of the longest courses outside of the USA. It has hosted several European Challenge Tour and Senior Tour events. The course is set in 650 acres of Welsh countryside and incorporates mature woodland, varied fairways, and numerous water and bunker features. The resort offers various facilities including a pro shop, driving range, golf lessons, and has lodging and restaurants on site.
