Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club (Championship Course)

Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club, often affectionately known as 'P&K', offers a compelling links and heathland challenge on the South Wales coast. Established in 1919 with an initial nine holes opening in 1922, the course was later extended to 18 holes by 1925. Its design bears the influence of renowned architects Harry Colt, who shaped the original layout, and Philip MacKenzie Ross, responsible for redesigning the back nine after World War II. The course is characterized by a front nine that is slightly more inland, contrasting with a dramatic back nine that winds through towering sand dunes. This blend provides a varied test of golf, demanding strategic play, particularly when the coastal winds prevail. P&K has a history of hosting significant amateur events and has served as a qualifying venue for prestigious professional championships, including the Senior Open and the AIG Women's Open.
