Nestled in the picturesque Mid Wales countryside, Builth Wells Golf Club offers an engaging parkland golf experience. Founded in 1923 as a nine-hole layout, the course was extended to its present eighteen holes in the mid-1980s, incorporating the natural contours and features of the land, including woodland, ponds, and the meandering River Chewfri. The course is known for being relatively easy to walk, yet it presents a strategic challenge, particularly on the back nine, where accuracy is paramount over sheer distance. With no par fives for men, the layout features a notable collection of par threes and testing par fours, demanding thoughtful shot-making to navigate its well-protected greens. While not a venue for The Open Championship Qualifying, the club has a history of hosting significant amateur and professional events, including Junior Wales Open Qualifying and the Ryder Cup Wales PGA Young Professionals Championship.
