Callander Golf Club ( Course)

Callander Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in Callander, Scotland, nestled within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Founded in 1890, its current 18-hole layout is attributed to Willie Fernie, building upon an earlier design by Old Tom Morris. The course is celebrated for its picturesque setting with panoramic views of Ben Ledi and the Scottish Highlands, featuring diverse holes, small greens, and tight fairways that present an enjoyable challenge. Notable holes include the signature par-3 15th, which requires a precise shot through a narrow avenue of trees, and the par-4 seventh with its blind tee shot. The club offers various facilities including a pro shop and practice areas such as a driving range (though one source contradicts this), a chipping and bunker area, and a putting green. Golf clubs, pull carts, and motor carts are available for hire (although motor cart hire may be temporarily unavailable). Visitors are welcome daily, with pay-as-you-play options and reciprocal arrangements offering discounted green fees. The clubhouse includes locker rooms and a restaurant.
