Castlerock Golf Club is a classic links course situated in the seaside resort of Castlerock, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Founded in 1901, the club features the 18-hole Mussenden Links course, known for its challenging layout among rolling sand dunes and scenic views of the River Bann, Donegal, and on clear days, towards Scotland and the Isle of Islay. The Mussenden course was originally designed by Ben Sayers and Harry Colt, with later renovations by Martin Hawtree. Notable holes include the signature 4th, 'Leg O'Mutton', a par 3 with a railway line and burn, and the par 5 15th, 'Homewards'. The club offers practice facilities including a practice tee, chipping green, and putting green, but no dedicated driving range. Club and trolley hire are available, as are golf lessons and caddies. Visitors are welcome on weekdays, with restrictions on weekends, and a handicap certificate is required for the Mussenden course.
