Westport Golf Club, located in Carrowholly, Westport, County Mayo, Ireland, is a renowned 18-hole parkland championship course set on 260 acres with scenic views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. The course was designed by Fred Hawtree and opened at its current location in 1973, although the club was founded in 1908. Westport Golf Club has hosted numerous prestigious events, including the Irish Amateur Close Championship and the Smurfit Irish PGA Championship. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees with a par of 73 and features challenging holes that incorporate the natural terrain, mature trees, bunkers, and water features. It offers practice facilities including a floodlit driving range, chipping green, and putting green. Visitors are welcome daily, and various membership options are available. The clubhouse provides amenities including a restaurant and bar.
