Waterville Golf Links, situated on the picturesque coast of County Kerry, Ireland, offers a classic links golf experience steeped in history. While golf has been played on this land since 1889, the current eighteen-hole championship layout, designed by Eddie Hackett, Claude Harmon, and later refined by Tom Fazio, opened in 1973. The course occupies a distinctive promontory bordered by the sea and estuary, providing stunning views and a true test of links golf. Its character is defined by rolling dunes, native vegetation, and challenging bunkering. The outward nine traverses flatter terrain before the back nine winds dramatically through towering sandhills. Recognised as one of Ireland's top golfing destinations, Waterville is consistently ranked among the best links courses globally and within the top 100 in Great Britain and Ireland. The course has not hosted Open Championship Qualifying.
