Wirral Golf Club ( Ladies)

Wirral Golf Club, formerly Wirral Ladies Golf Club, boasts a rich history dating back to 1894, making it one of England's oldest clubs established for women golfers. The club transitioned to its current name to welcome a broader membership. The course itself, originally designed by two-time Open winner Harry Vardon, presents a parkland layout that, while not overly long, demands accuracy with its tight fairways, well-placed bunkers, and undulating greens. The course length is approximately 5180 yards for men and around 4956 yards for ladies, playing to a par of 68 for men and 69 for ladies. Notably, the course incorporates two craters formed by Luftwaffe bombs during World War II into its current layout. While not a current Open Qualifying venue, nearby Arrowe Park Golf Club has previously hosted qualifiers for The Open, seeing golfing legends compete on its fairways.
