Nestled in the scenic Brickey Valley with the Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop, West Waterford Golf & Country Club offers a tranquil parkland golf experience. Designed by the prolific Irish golf architect Eddie Hackett, this course, his 100th design, was established in 1993 on 150 acres of former farmland. The layout features rolling terrain and incorporates natural water hazards, with a stream influencing play on the front nine and the Brickey river traversing the southern boundary, impacting several holes on the back nine. Known for its thoughtful design without blind shots, the course has played a role in the development of professional golfers Seamus Power and Gary Hurley. It is considered a challenging yet enjoyable test for players of all abilities and is a key part of the local 'Dungarvan Golf Triangle'.
