Ventnor Golf Club
Downland Course in Ventnor, England
Ventnor Golf Club, established in 1892, holds the distinction of being the oldest golf club on the Isle of Wight. Designed by the renowned Tom Dunn, the course is set on Rew Down, offering striking views of the surrounding countryside and the English Channel. It presents a somewhat unusual layout, featuring 12 holes with six of them played twice, utilising alternate tee boxes to provide variety. This downland course, while not overly long, demands thought on every shot and features subtle contours on its greens. The club actively participates in Isle of Wight Golf Union and Alliance competitions.
