Upton by Chester Golf Club, established in 1934, is a parkland course located near Chester, England. Originally conceived as a 9-hole layout, it was expanded to 18 holes between 1935 and 1937, with the eminent golf architect Mr J E Hassell mapping out the course. The club's history is rooted in the purchase of two neighbouring estates, "Upton Lawn" and "The Oaks," the latter of which now serves as the clubhouse. The course itself is characterized by mature tree-lined fairways and USGA-standard greens, designed to provide a fair test for golfers of varying skill levels. While not overly long, the course incorporates natural water hazards and features that demand a thoughtful approach. The club has hosted regional Open Qualifying events in the past.
