Nestled within the historic grounds of Windsor Castle in England, The Royal Household Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience. Established in 1901 through the vision of King George V, this private club was created as a secluded golfing haven for the royal family and their esteemed guests. The course, designed by Samuel Mure Fergusson, is a nine-hole parkland layout that provides a challenging and varied round, despite its seemingly modest length. Playing as eighteen holes off alternate tees, the course measures 4,560 yards with a par of 66. The course features small greens, tight fairways, strategic bunkers, and is set amongst mature trees and the backdrop of the historic castle walls. While not a venue for the Open Championship itself, courses across England and the UK have previously hosted Regional and Final Qualifying events for The Open.
