Rushden Golf Club
Parkland Course in Wellingborough, England
Nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, Rushden Golf Club offers a parkland test with a history stretching back to 1919, though the club's origins predate this. The course occupies land historically owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, and for many years, shared its space with grazing sheep until a direct lease was secured in 1978. Originally a 9-hole layout, the course was extended to a full 18 holes in 2013, creating two distinct nines. The front nine is characterised by undulating fairways and greens, presenting a thought-provoking challenge. The back nine, being the newer section, has matured over the past decade and offers a different examination, particularly when exposed to the wind. Surrounded by open fields, the course provides a rural golfing experience with a blend of mature and newer holes.
