Ormskirk Golf Club, established in 1899 and situated in the peaceful Lancashire countryside, offers a challenging yet enjoyable heathland layout. Originally a 9-hole course laid out in Lathom Park, it was extended to 18 holes in 1903 under the guidance of renowned golfer and architect Harold Hilton. The course has seen further modifications over the years, including work by Charles A. Mackenzie in 1937. Known for its tight fairways, well-guarded greens, and strategic water features, the course provides a demanding test of golf. Ormskirk has a history of hosting significant events, including numerous Regional Open Qualifying events and County Championships, such as the Lancashire Amateur Championship. Visitors are extended a warm welcome.
