North West - Golf Club Course
Links Course in Buncrana, England
North West Golf Club, established in 1891, is an 18-hole links course located on the shores of Lough Swilly on the Inishowen Peninsula. It is one of Ireland's oldest true links courses and a founding member of the Golfing Union of Ireland. Designed by Charles Thompson and upgraded by Pat Ruddy, the par 70 course measures around 6314 yards. It is known for its sandy knolls, undulating lies, humps and hollows, concealed run-offs, and strategically placed bunkering, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience. Often described as the 'St Andrew's of Ireland', the course features excellent fescue greens and fast-running fairways. The club boasts a modern, newly refurbished clubhouse with bar and catering facilities, offering wonderful views. Visitors are welcome daily.
