Fulford Golf Club
Heathland/Parkland Course in York, England
Fulford Golf Club, situated just south of York in England, is a heathland and parkland course with a rich history. Founded in 1906 and moving to its current site in 1935, the course was designed by Alister MacKenzie, brother of the renowned Alister MacKenzie. Fulford gained national recognition as a premier inland course, hosting the Benson & Hedges International Open for many years, as well as the inaugural Women's British Open in 1976. It is also notable for being a Regional Qualifying venue for The Open Championship. The course is known for its well-draining sandy ground, tree-lined fairways, and challenging greens, providing a stern yet fair test of golf.
