Erewash Valley Golf Club (Quarry Course)

Erewash Valley Golf Club, situated in Derbyshire, England, traces its origins back to 1905, initially as a 9-hole layout that expanded to 18 holes by late 1907. The course experienced disruption during the First World War, reverting to nine holes with parts used for agriculture and grazing. Following the war, the club president donated land, facilitating the creation of a new course. The construction of the M1 motorway in the 1960s significantly impacted the layout, leading to various configurations before Martin Hawtree designed the present course in the mid-1970s. This parkland course is known for its tree-lined fairways and features the distinctive 'Quarry Holes'. The course is not widely known as a venue that has held Open Qualifying.
