Druids Heath Golf Club
Parkland Course in Walsall, England
Druids Heath Golf Club, situated in Aldridge, Walsall, in the West Midlands, England, opened in April 1974. The course was the vision of local businessman Jim Ashwell, who, along with landowners Edgar and Les Swain, transformed Nuttall's Farm into a golf course. The land's significant sand and gravel deposits ensure excellent drainage, making the course playable even during wetter periods. Jim Ashwell designed the course, which features tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. The club became member-owned in 1987. Over the years, improvements have been made to the course, including tree planting, irrigation system enhancements, and the reconstruction of tees, greens, and bunkers. The course is an 18-hole parkland layout with a par of 72.
