Tommy Horton

Tommy Horton was a highly successful professional golfer who also applied his extensive playing knowledge to golf course architecture. While primarily known for his playing career on the European and Senior Tours, he designed or significantly contributed to the design of several courses, such as the Melbourne Course at Brocket Hall and worked on revisions at clubs like Royal Guernsey and Pyle & Kenfig. His architectural approach often incorporated a strategic player's perspective, aiming to create challenging yet fair layouts integrated with the natural landscape.
