John Stockton

While the name John Stockton is predominantly recognized in the realm of professional basketball, it is not widely associated with golf course architecture. There isn't a prominent, well-documented golf course architect named John Stockton known for designing significant or famous courses. It's possible a lesser-known individual with this name works in the field, or perhaps the name is confused with another figure in golf course design history.
