The Machrie Golf Links, located on the Isle of Islay in Scotland, is a historic links course originally designed by Willie Campbell in 1891 and modernized by DJ Russell, reopening in 2018. Situated on unique dunelands bordering Laggan Bay, the course offers stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. It is an 18-hole, par 72 championship links course that stretches over 7000 yards from the back tees, designed to be played in various conditions. The Machrie also features a six-hole par 3 Wee Course, an acre of putting surface called The Hebrides Putting Green, a driving range with covered bays, chipping and putting greens, a short game area, and a teaching studio with golf simulator. The facility includes a pro shop, changing rooms, showers, sauna, restaurant, and bar. Guest policy welcomes visitors, with varying green fees depending on the season and status (visitor, Golf Union member, or hotel resident). The hotel on site offers lodging.
