Steeped in history, Woodenbridge Golf Club in Northern Ireland traces its origins back to 1884. This parkland course, set within the picturesque Vale of Avoca, initially presented a nine-hole challenge before being thoughtfully extended to eighteen holes by architect Patrick Merrigan in 1994. The layout is defined by its natural surroundings, with the confluence of the Avoca and Aughrim rivers providing both beauty and strategic interest on numerous holes. It offers a pleasant round with a balance of playable holes and those requiring careful consideration, all within a well-maintained environment.
