Thurles Golf Club, situated in County Tipperary, offers a mature parkland golfing experience. Founded in 1909, the club has a rich history, moving to its present location at Turtulla in the 1940s. The course layout has evolved over time, with design input from figures like J. McAllister, Lionel Hewson, and more recently, Mel Flanagan who redeveloped the front nine. Known for its tree-lined fairways, the course presents a testing, yet enjoyable, round for golfers of various abilities. Notable holes include the challenging par 3s and the demanding 18th with out of bounds along the left. Thurles has been a venue for national and provincial tournaments, highlighting its quality as a championship parkland course.
