St. Patricks Golf Links (Maheramagorgan)

St. Patrick's Golf Links, specifically the Maheramagorgan course, is an 18-hole links course located in Carrigart, County Donegal, Ireland. It was originally designed by Eddie Hackett and opened in the mid-1990s as part of a 36-hole complex. The land was acquired by Rosapenna Golf Resort in 2012, and architect Tom Doak, with Eric Iverson, redesigned the property into a new 18-hole St. Patrick's Links, which opened in 2021. The Maheramagorgan course, as part of the former 36-hole facility, is set among the sandy hills of Sheephaven Bay. The newer St. Patrick's Links, built on the same land, is known for its dramatic dunes, undulating fairways, and challenging green complexes, offering expansive views and a diverse set of holes. Facilities available include a putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, motor cart and pull cart rentals, golf club rental, golf lessons, a pro shop, a restaurant, and changing rooms. Lodging and lockers are not available on site. The course is open to guests and has a par of 72. While the original Maheramagorgan course had a reported yardage of 7108 yards, the newer St. Patrick's Links is listed with varying yardages, including 6490 yards (par 71) and 6930 yards (par 71).
