Rathcore Golf Club (18-Hole Course)

Rathcore Golf Club, situated amidst the rolling drumlins near Enfield, offers a modern parkland test woven into a landscape rich with history. Opened in 2004, the course was designed by Mel Flanagan and molded by Mick and Austin Lyons, with Ollie Sutton shaping the greens. Notably, the property incorporates ancient ring forts and a motte, integrating centuries of history into the golfing experience. The layout features natural undulating terrain and strategic water hazards that influence play on twelve holes, providing a consistent challenge. While a popular venue for local and open competitions, Rathcore has not served as a qualifying location for The Open Championship. The course is known for its well-maintained condition and offers a picturesque round for visiting golfers.
