Mullingar Golf Club

Mullingar Golf Club, established in 1894 and moved to its current Belvedere location in 1937, is a private 18-hole, par 72 parkland championship course located in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. The course was designed by the legendary James Braid and is set in a beautiful parkland with mature trees. While some changes have been made since its creation in 1935, including enlarged and strategically placed bunkers and extended 11th and 17th holes, the Braid character remains, with renovations in the early 2000s including USGA standard greens and tees and relocated greens designed by David Jones. The course measures 6685 yards from the championship tees. The 2nd hole, a par 3, is particularly famous and regarded as one of the best inland par 3s in Ireland. Mullingar Golf Club is a prominent venue for amateur golf in Ireland, hosting the annual Mullingar Scratch Cup, which has been won by notable golfers such as Darren Clarke, Paul McGinley, Pádraig Harrington, Shane Lowry, and Rory McIlroy. Visitors are welcome at Mullingar Golf Club. The club has a clubhouse with full catering facilities, a pro shop, driving range, putting green, and chipping green.
