Mannan Castle Golf Club, known as "Ireland's Friendliest Club," is an 18-hole parkland course located in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. The course, established in 1993, is set over 108 acres of rolling countryside and is known for its challenging and immaculate layout with demanding tee shots and tight fairways. It was originally a 9-hole course and later expanded to 18 holes. The course is a par 70 and is playable in all seasons. While some sources attribute the design to 'Nature', another mentions F. Ainsworth as the architect. Visitors are welcome daily. The club offers a range of facilities including a clubhouse with a restaurant, a 10-bay driving range, putting greens, a chipping green, a practice bunker, a pro shop, and golf lessons. They also offer golf club rental, motor cart rental, and pull cart rental, but not caddie hire or lockers. The club has a relaxed but respectable dress code and aims to provide a first-class experience for members and visitors. Mannan Castle is located approximately 45 minutes from both Dublin and Belfast.
