Nestled in the scenic Macreddin Valley, Macreddin Golf Club presents a parkland layout notable as the first course designed by Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley, in collaboration with Roger Jones. Opened in 2007, the course is set across 160 acres of mature woodland, featuring tree-lined fairways and incorporating the natural contours and a free-flowing brook. The front nine sweeps eastward with picturesque views, while the back nine is considered stronger and tougher, with the Ballycreen Brook influencing play. Recognized within Ireland as a 'Best Hidden Gem' and appearing in some top 10 lists for Irish courses, it offers a challenging and visually stimulating round that demands accuracy.
