Knightsbrook Golf Club
Parkland Course in Trim, Northern Ireland
The golf course at Knightsbrook, designed by the late Ryder Cup player Christy O'Connor Jnr, opened in 2006 and presents a parkland challenge set within the resort grounds near Trim. The layout features undulating fairways and incorporates water in play on several holes, including lakes and the meandering Knightsbrook River. Recent enhancements include the addition of limestone-walled features and the restoration of a two-hundred-year-old weir, adding strategic and visual interest to the course. Greens are built to USGA specifications, aiming for consistent playability. While not an Open Championship Qualifying venue, the course did host the PING Junior Solheim Cup in 2011.
