Headfort Golf Club, located in Kells, County Meath, is a 36-hole parkland complex situated on the former Headfort Estate. Established in 1928, the club boasts mature trees and takes advantage of the natural beauty of the estate and the River Blackwater. The New Course, also known as the Championship Course, was designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr and opened in 2000. It is an 18-hole, par 72 course, considered the tougher of the two courses at Headfort. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees and features an undulating layout with numerous water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. It is renowned for its stunning par threes, some of which are surrounded by water. Visitors are welcome seven days a week but are advised to book in advance. The club offers a range of facilities including a pro shop, restaurant, bar, and changing facilities. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, and chipping green. Rental options available are caddies, golf clubs, motor carts, and pull carts.
