Donegal Golf Club (Murvagh Course)

Donegal Golf Club, also known as Murvagh, is an 18-hole links course located on the Murvagh peninsula in South Donegal, Ireland. Originally designed by Eddie Hackett and later re-molded by Pat Ruddy, the course is often called the 'Muirfield of Ireland' due to its layout with two loops of nine holes. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Donegal Bay, it offers panoramic views of the bay and the Bluestack Mountains. Measuring over 7,400 yards from the championship tees, it is one of the longest golf courses in Europe but is considered an easy walk. The club has a clubhouse that was redesigned and rebuilt in 1998, featuring a golf shop, locker rooms with showers, a bar, and a restaurant. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker.
