County Sligo Golf Club, also known as Rosses Point, is a renowned links course in County Sligo, Ireland, situated in the picturesque seaside village of Rosses Point. Established in 1894, it was originally a 9-hole course designed by George Combe, extended to 18 holes by Willie Campbell, and significantly remodelled by Harry Colt in 1927. The club features the 18-hole Championship (Colt) Course and the 9-hole Bomore Links Course. It is set in a stunning natural landscape with dramatic undulations, elevated tees, and raised plateau greens, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Drumcliffe Bay, and Benbulben mountain. The Championship Course is considered a true test of links golf and has hosted numerous prestigious events, including the West of Ireland Amateur Championship since 1923, the Home Internationals, the Irish Close, and the Irish Professional Matchplay Championship. Facilities include a driving range, extensive practice areas with putting and chipping greens, practice bunkers, a pro shop, caddie service, and a restaurant and bar. Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert) were recently approved for a redesign proposal of the Championship Links.
