Connemara Golf Links, situated on the rugged west coast, offers a classic links experience designed by Eddie Hackett and later expanded with the help of Tom Craddock. Established in 1973, the club features 27 holes, with the A and B loops forming the 18-hole Championship Course. Playing across a landscape of rocky outcrops and exposed to the Atlantic winds, the course provides a stern test. While the outward nine offers a solid start, the back nine, particularly the challenging par-3 13th, is often highlighted as the more memorable stretch, demanding precision and strategic play against the elements. The course provides panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and the Twelve Bens mountains, adding to the dramatic setting. Connemara is considered a demanding links where shooting par is a worthy achievement.
