Concra Wood Golf Club, evolving from the historic Castleblayney Golf Club established in 1905, opened in its current spectacular setting in 2008. Designed by the legendary Christy O'Connor Junior and Senior, this parkland course is set on dramatic landscape overlooking Lough Muckno. The layout is known for being challenging, featuring notable holes where the lake comes into play, demanding strategic shots. While a test for golfers, the course is integrated beautifully into the natural drumlin landscape, offering a memorable round with engaging holes that utilise the varied terrain and stunning views. The club has also played host to professional events, including the PGA Europro Tour and the Irish Challenge Tour.
