Clontarf Golf Club
Parkland Course in Dublin, Northern Ireland
Clontarf Golf Club, situated just north of Dublin city centre, is a mature parkland course with a history stretching back to 1912. Originally founded on the lands of Mount Temple, the club relocated to its present site at Donnycarney House in 1921. The course, designed by the esteemed architect Harry Colt, features rolling fairways and a scattering of mature trees that shape the holes. While not exceptionally long, the layout places a premium on accuracy from the tee to navigate its narrower passages and avoid the surrounding rough. The course demands thoughtful shot-making and precise club selection to score well. Notably, Clontarf Golf Club has previously served as a venue for The Open Championship Regional Qualifying.
