Castletroy Golf Club

Castletroy Golf Club, founded in 1937 and located on the outskirts of Limerick City, Ireland, is an 18-hole championship parkland course renowned for its superb condition and tree-lined fairways. The course underwent a major redesign in 2006 by architect Eddie Connaughton, which included the construction of USGA-specification greens and tees, as well as the introduction of water features and fairway bunkering. The course offers a varied test with a gently rolling front nine and a more challenging back nine, featuring memorable holes such as the par 3 11th played over water and the 14th and 17th with panoramic views. The clubhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere with full catering and bar facilities, changing rooms, and a pro shop. Visitors are welcome on weekdays, although it's advisable to phone ahead due to potential restrictions.
