Silkstone Golf Club

Silkstone Golf Club, established in 1893, is located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Originally known as Barnsley and District Golf Club, the club moved to its current site in 1905 and was renamed Silkstone Golf Club after purchasing the land in 1968. The course underwent significant re-development in 2008, enhancing its layout and practice facilities. It is an 18-hole parkland/downland course offering scenic views over the Silkstone valley. The course features strategically placed bunkers and some water hazards. While not a well-known Open Championship venue, a PGA Professional at Silkstone Golf Club, David Mansell, won the British Open Qualifying in 2001.
